Meet Mark
|
Mark has lived and breathed football and fitness all his life. In his early 20s
he represented the England and Great Britain Police Force football team,
before coaching the West Midlands Police team to win the Midland
Combination League in 1991.
His vast experience speaks for itself. Mark has held almost every position there
is within Football Academies and Centres of Excellence. This includes Director
for Birmingham City FC Centre of Excellence, Project Manager for Solihull
Academy and Academy Scout for West Bromwich Albion FC.
In 1996 he established the highly respected Mark Fogarty’s Soccer Academy
which helped to launch the professional footballing careers of several gifted
children including Darren Carter, Craig Fagan and Aaron Brown.
Helping youngsters to stay fit and healthy and achieve their personal goals is
a key motivator for Mark. He’s been a Support Teacher in three schools,
delivering all aspects of physical education, Head of Youth at Wycombe
Wanderers FC and Caretaker Coach of Birmingham City Youth Team, who
won the League and Floodlit Youth Cup.
He also founded Mark Fogarty’s Football Development School, attended by
100 children at three different centres to develop their skills to reach the
standard required for Mark’s Soccer Academy.
Mark has the winning combination of vast practical
experience, professional qualifications and unlimited
enthusiasm and drive. He holds an Academy Managers’
Licence, a Diploma in Sports Therapy and Personal Training,
a Fitness Trainers’ Award and a full Football Association
Coaching Licence to UEFA ‘A’ standard, along with a host of
other nationally recognised qualifications.
Plus, he’s a Premier Skills Level 4 Coach Educator and his company holds the
Charter Mark for holiday schemes. He is also a City & Guilds Tutor Assessor
for coach education and a neuro linguistic practitioner.
